Don't Kill an Elf

Maybe it's just me, but I love this time of the year! Because of all the awesome friends and family I get to see more of. Friends coming home from college for the holidays, family members you don't normally see and those parties that keep you up so late and make you tired. But they're all worth it. This is the time of year we become more aware of helping others with their needs. If only we could carry this attitude throughout the year a little more. Even more than the friends and family is thinking about the true meaning of Christmas. The message of sacrificial love, grace and redemption. Why do we rush around buying presents for everyone, and making all those holiday recipes! Why do we have those endless Christmas/holiday parties? Let's keep Jesus in mind during our busyness. God bless you all and Merry Christmas!!

Remember, every time someone says Happy Holidays, an Elf dies!
Are you going to kill an Elf?

Happy Holidays, Micah!! I love this time of year, too. I'm still trying to decide if I like Thanksgiving or Christmas better. I love the way people are during Christmas. I love how nice the cashiers are. I love the Salvation Army people standing outside the stores, ringing their bells. I love all the smiles.

I do not, however, like the rush, rush, rush, and the long lines. I do not like the slush on the roads, or the way you can never find two matching mittens.

I love watching my son and my dog playing in the snow. It just makes me want to shout "Happy Holidays!" to the whole world. !!
